Offset printing

Offset printing transfers ink from metal plates to a rubber blanket and then to paper. Once plates are made, each additional sheet is very cheap, colours are extremely accurate and special inks such as Pantone and metallic are possible. It is the right choice for 500+ brochures, catalogues, sweet boxes, calendars and packaging.

Digital printing

Digital printing sends the file straight to the press with no plates. Set-up is instant, so short runs of 1 to 500 copies, personalised invitations, variable data and urgent same-day jobs are cheaper and faster.

How to decide

  • Quantity below 500: digital.
  • Quantity above 500: offset.
  • Exact brand colours or metallic inks: offset.
  • Personalised names or numbers on each piece: digital.
  • Same-day delivery: digital.
